Just as with children, selecting a toy for your ferret should include much thought. Ferrets love to chew!! Any rubber items should be removed from a ferrets reach! Rubber pieces, if swallowed, can cause an intestinal blockage. Swift surgical intervention may be required or the ferret will die a very painful death. Vomiting, lethargy, quick weight loss, refusal of food, dehydration, pain, or inability to pass stool are some symptoms of a possible obstruction.
