October 15th, 2006
These two were found by our next door neighbors before they moved here. They kept the ferrets for a while, but after the move some life changes happened---and they didn`t have the time to care for the ferrets properly anymore.
After seeing our sanctuary, they realized how important it is for ferrets to get out to play--and theirs weren`t anymore. They wanted us to take their boys in.
On October 15th, 2006 the ferrets joined the family here at Zoo`s Ferret Sanctuary.
Alpha and Omega are about 4 years old. Alpha is a small chocolate male and Omega is a large sable boy. They love attention and getting out of the cage to play.
Many of the ferrets here have health issues. Fortunately so far these two seem OK. Omega does pick on others in some of the play groups. For this reason, it is undetermined if these two will integrate into a group :(

UPDATE ON OMEGA: May 12th, 2008
About four months after Alpha & Omega came, Omega became aggressive with his brother, and Omega`s fur began to thin. Omega has been on lupron, ever since. He has a beautiful coat now, & plays well with others.
Alpha gets along well with absolutely everyone.
Both are headed for their sixth birthdays, & are continuing to do well.
