Misti's Group
(Meeko, Cosmo, Nibbles, Slinky, & Max)

In early January of 2006 we got a call from a friend in the ferret community. A friend of hers in North Dakota was going through a divorce and was unable to have her five ferrets where she lived. She was devastated. She wanted her bonded group to stay together and asked for help in making that possible. Zoo`s was called....

My wonderful husband Kurt drove 22 hours round trip to make it happen.

Misti's group consists of Meeko, Cosmo, Nibbles, Slinky, and Max.  Misti`s group is a closed group because one of the ferrets in that group will not accept any other ferrets besides the ones in his group. He is absolutely savage to others but the group is very nice on the whole.

We have emailed pictures and updates to the former mom and her son.  We hope for a visit from them one day! All are doing well at this time.

Update: June 26th, 2008

It has been almost 2 1/2 years since Misti`s group joined us here at the sanctuary. We emailed pictures to Misti, the night her babies arrived, and more pictures, three weeks later. Although we sent a few more updates, and a card the first Christmas, we never heard from Misti again.

All five babies are still with us, & doing well. Nibbles & Slinky are both adrenal at this point, and are on lupron.
