Teddy & Lewey

The blaze boy who is kissing Cathy is Teddy. His tail had been broken by an inconsiderate THREE year old in his former home. (Cathy doesn't usually recommend ferrets in a home with children under ten years of age.) Teddy came in with Lewey, the little silver boy who is lying on the blue rubbermaid food container.

UPDATE: March 20st, 2005

Teddy had surgery last May to remove a hairball. The vet discovered insulinoma at that time as well. Teddy had surgery for that at the same time. He recovered well but is now on pred for life. Insulinomas seem to always come back within a year.

Lewey became insulinomic early in January. He is also on pred for life. Lewey chose to join the Funlovers group a couple years ago. He`s doing very well!

UPDATE:

We lost Teddy on July 27th, 2005. He just went to sleep. It has been a rough month. I`m given one comfort--that he didn`t suffer...
